If you get close to your limits and have a good selling history then eBay will automatically give you an increase. Since they haven't, that means you're probably comfortable within your current limits. If a time comes when you want to ramp up with a big push, you can call eBay to discuss the limits you want and why. They'll review it and decide whether or not to give you an increase and at what level. With a 6 year selling history, you're more likely to get an increase than a newbie that registered yesterday.

I'd say so. I seriously don't understand the listing limits applied to new sellers.
You see some people with a 10 item / $100 limit, someone else with a brand new account can list their $1200 phone, and others come along listing a coin or piece of art for tens of thousands. Category has some impact, but outside of that I really can't figure out how eBay determines these limits.
Had a new account a few years ago and got the default 10 item / $100 limit. I had to link it to my main selling ID to get a higher limit, but even then it was a really tiny limit. I listed some quick movers to get a fast limit boost. They were giving me increases every month for about 6 months based on sales momentum and I didn't have to call and ask. The system granted it automatically.

He must have more than one account. When requesting a limit increase they can look at your established accounts and consider that when setting your limits.

I've only been selling for 6+ yrs and have had 1 bump from start to my current limit of $42,000 with a reasonably good status, only have had a couple of negs and a couple of neuts. but I don't have a store(yet) so that could play into why I don't get boosted further, My sales aren't an issue as I am consistently Top rated or Above average. I don't have many high value listings either but sales keep flowing so I can't complain.

"Sounds more like it should be rupees."
Or grains of rice. My limit is almost $400K in U.S. Dollars which are becoming next to worthless each minute.

The first item I sold on auction was started at .99 and it sold for almost 9k. I had an offer of 10,500 but they had sketchy feedback so I blocked them. I never had a limit starting out that I knew of. Maybe it was because I started out listing like one item a day and started the auctions at .99, $9.99 or $19.99.

I have been here 10 years and my limit is 62.5 mil. and haven't requested an increase since it was $2,000.00.
I don't think I will ever get close to 1 mil.

This guy has been a member for 10 years. I don't believe ebay had selling limits 10 years ago so that is how it happened.
