2021 1099K

Has anyone got their 1099’s yet? I only grossed around 1800 but NJ has a 1000$ reporting threshold so eBay told me i’d be getting a 1099. However it’s less than 12hrs until the end of their deadline and I don’t have it?

Has anyone else gotten theirs yet? I’m in managed payments

I’m not 100% sure what you mean. However the 1099 that will be provided by ebay (or any payment processor) this year will be for tax year 2021. If your filing your 2020 taxes now, there might be a slight problem…

This is a bonus opportunity.

First, sellers get to complain about not getting their 1099-K.

Then once it arrives, sellers can get back to complaining about getting a 1099-K.

I understand there is a deadline.

Check with an accountant, but even if you get it late, you still need to include it.

The IRS and other tax agencies don't care much about these kind of technicalities.

They have to mail it out by 11:59:59 PM based on their time not yours.

I opted to have it only electronically

In Seller Hub go to Payments > > Taxes ............. if you are getting a 1099K it will be there ready to download.

     The deadline is for the mailing of the 1099. The USPS has to do their thing. If you accessed it electronically before the 31 January deadline then you will not get a mailed copy. If you access it after the deadline you will not get one in the mail next year. I am sure EBAY really wants everyone to access it electronically it's a HUGE cost savings for them.
