I have just about finished my profit/loss statement and the joke is on me is that I might have made the same if I had just sold down my inventory then spent the rest of my days on recreation.
The reason is because I lost my inventory sources that were free, fairly low-cost, and a commission wherein I only paid out when items sold. Instead I paid a ton of money up front for inventory, more than I've been able to list.
The only hope I have is that if only the first half of 2021 is the same but something like normalcy comes by later Summer I can buy less and really push harder to list more of the backlog and make money on all that inventory that cost me in 2020. I won't have to buy all this stuff if my library commission gets back to normal and that could well be next Summer (they closed again).

I don't understand what you are complaining (?) about...... You said you needed inventory originally.....you bought it......you haven't sold all of it yet.....but presumably you will and then the profits will come from little or no outlay for this year when the easy chance to buy may/may not return.....

I did not mean my post to be a complaint. Sorry if it came across that way. Just thinking about how I zigged in 2020 and hope, with a lot of effort, to zag in 2021.
