First, thanks to eBay for the 200 free listing promotion through July. Personally, as a small seller, this has hit a sweet spot, made it easier to list and make listing decisions, and my sales have increased. It's also given me an opportunity to clear out some home clutter in a time when a few extra bucks counts.
I would like to know if it has made a difference for others? Is eBay seeing it as a worthwhile contribution to eBay's bottom line? And, is there any indication from eBay that this may become the "new normal"?

I don't think it will be permanent. Like others due to the 200 auctions and huge number of free FP listings I downgraded my store. I'm only going to go back to Premium to get the 15 cent listings.

I didn't notice but am moving over to Mercari & Poshmark which are more ethical and follow the law. No need to count insertion fees over there since it's free. Probably depends upon how many items you list, I don't list enough maybe

I am really liking the 200 free as well. We are just trying to get rid of 20 years of clutter before we sell the house. We have almost the 200 listed and will have to think about getting a store at the end of August . Not that we are trying to be commercial- just a lot of odd stuff that takes time to sell. I have a huge collection of classic car parts from 10 cars.

I NEVER got the offer. Still stuck at only 50.
I Remember when they used to give out 200 a long time ago, all the time. That was when sales were really good. Then they reduced it to 100 per month, and then again reduced it to 50 per month. Then the GTC happened and it really ruined everything.

Did you get the umpteen free fixed price listings?
Maybe the 200 free auctions only went to people with a store?

No, I got nothing. And I've been selling since 2005.

EcommerceBytes just reported eBay is increasing the number of free listings. https://www.ecommercebytes.com/C/blog/blog.pl?/pl/2020/7/1594845563.html
Sellers without a store will get a base of 200 listings starting August 1. Others will also get an increase.

Sounds great good luck!

I don't think they are going to extend this one for August. I could be wrong, but they just announced these changes below.

I’m a new seller and received the offer.

I just had to pay my first insertion fee in a long time. It was $0.35. That’s going to start adding up, I think I’m going to remove all my items and move over to Mercari

I could see having listed 200 items each month then ebay dropping it down to 50 immediately incurring .30$/listing x 150...
Hopefully its permanent, but im hesitant to add more incase they drop a bomb on us. Like usual

If the free listings change.........just end the extras..........it's not rocket science....
"What if" scenarios do more to prevent success than anything else...... Everything you do has a risk.....what if I begin washing dishes and run out of hot water? So you never wash dishes?
