I am a basic store subscriber. I did that to receive the 20% discount on monthly fees. Only way an individual seller can make a $$. Since joining as a basic store owner, membership went from $15.95 yrly, to $19.95. Now my 20% monthly discount fee is being cut from 20% to 10%. Also, I offer free shipping at least 90% of the time with a 1 business day shipping time. Because that is what I have to do to get discounted fees. Now I have to free ship 95% of the time to stay with the program. I'm not a business. Just trying to make a couple bucks for added income. When will you give sellers a positive break?? Not a snow balls chance in hell from what I see! Very discouraged!

Hi this discount cut has nothing to do with having a store
All TRS sellers who list to qualify for the TRS+ discounts are affected
If your Are a TRS (Top rated seller) who offers same day or 1 day shipping with a 30day return you get a TRS+ badge on listings & they qualify you for a 20% discount, under the new Spring 2017 Seller update they are cutting the discount to 10%
Also anyone who falls below standard will now pay 4% more
You can see all the posts from upset sellers on the special board

As labs118 stated, you don't need a store to get the 20% (soon 10%) TRS+ discount. You also don't have to offer free shipping.
And consider this: your average sale looks to be around $35, so the reduction from 20% to 10% costs you 35 cents on a sale. Are you claiming you'll no longer by profitable because the fee goes up 35 cents? With your average of 50 sales per month, that's an extra $17.50 on $1,750 in sales.

1. You didn't loose any thing gotta' have the Top Rated Plus seal on your listings - store & non store folks can get the Trop Rated plus seal. time to relax.
2. Read what eBay says here is a link http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/top-rated.html#plus adn her is an excerpt.
"You can qualify to become a Top Rated seller by consistently meeting our performance standards for sales and shipment tracking.
Then, once you're a Top Rated seller, your listings can qualify for additional benefits. If your listings offer same- or one-business-day handling plus a 30-day or longer return period with money back option, you get:
The Top Rated Plus seal ( ) displayed prominently
A 20% discount on final value fees (this applies to the final item price only, not to shipping charges)
Check your seller standards dashboard to see the details of your performance ratings.
3. On teh other hand you have a reduction in your FVF for being a store subscriber from 10% to a max of 9%

I have a basic store subscription. I contracted for it for more than 1 reason. I sell on other sites, but I know that (from my experience) EBAY attracts buying customers multiple times more than any other site that I list on (Bonanza, Zazzle, Amazon) I believe that part of the reason that there is success (I define success as selling listings) on EBAY is because they are well known, they have been around a while (recognized brand) and they "protect" the buyer by "monitoring" sellers. Other sites do not do this as well, and their visits from buying customers show it. I realize that we are paying a lot to sell on EBAY, but if EBAY does challenge us to be the very best in a meaningful way, and we shoot for it, in the end EBAY will earn $, to be sure. But so will all sellers. EBAY's reputation in the marketplace depends upon the reputation of it's sellers.

Why would you subscribe to a store when you barely use the 50 free listings we get each month?

How much does eBay pay you to post a obvious eBay scripted reply. LOL Tell your boss some of us sellers are smarter than them.

It appears you have some of your discounts and qualifications for discounts a bit mixed up.
You do not have to offer free shipping to qualify for the TRS+ discount.

Off topic;
I am just curious how you sell an item for $2.49 (pen an ink) and offer free Expedited Shipping (USPS Priority Mail®)!

Are you for real? What's your secret? I would like to offer free expidited Priority Mail for pennies too. How can you do this without losing money?

This was not a financial decision. The decision was based upon my desire to have the best chance at making this adventure profitable, and I am giving it one year, doing my best as I learn, and we'll see wwhatt happens.

That's funny. A positive attitude will keep your stress level at a minimum.

I can't. It won't last long.
