2 strange offers from same postcode

Hi, this is my first time selling on Ebay and I couldn't find a similar topic here.

Basically I got 2 offers, same price, same postcode (in the UK) but different profiles, both created only in the last few days, one from the US, one from the UK. The offers are not crazy high but the highest I've gotten. I googled the postcode and it apparently isn't a forwarding service, which was my first guess.

Should this ring alarm bells or am I being too cautious? What could happen if I accept this offer?

Thanks!

As a brand new user and seller, you are a scammer magnet and I have little doubt that the messages are from scammers. (I've long suspected that scammers share their messages and ways to fool newbies. Whether the same person or not, the ultimate issue will probably be the same, confirming that it's a scam.)

If you accept an offer, you will subsequently receive a message requesting you to text them because they're having payment issues and need your number in order to forward payment.

Then you'll get a fake email pretending to be from Paypal (or ebay) telling you that the item was paid and you should ship.

Problem is that there's no payment (and you can confirm by checking your ebay account) and if you ship, you'll lose the item and they'll get it free.

My suggestion is that you remove the best offer option from your listings and just list BIN (buy it now) with IPR (immediate payment required). That way, you won't waste time waiting for payment that won't come and the item won't be "sold" until payment is completed through the order.

The same "postcode"? If you mean zip code (US) how can it be the same for a buyer in the US as for a buyer in the UK?

Yeah zip code. Well the buyer profile says US but the zip code in the offer is in the UK and it's the same one as the offer from the UK profile.
