2 days later ... where's my stuff?

A customer purchases  an item from me late Friday night 7-3-20 at 10:52 PM.

7-4-20 = Holiday

7-5-20 = Sunday

7-6-20 = Ship

As i am packing it up Sunday night, i receive a message from the customer "When am i going to get my item?"

I'm not sure f he really just wants to know when he's going to get his item or if he's being impatient.  In 20+ years on ebay i have never messaged a seller 2 days after i purchased an item asking when i'm going to get my item.

He just wants to know. Maybe he's impatient and wants it fast, who knows. Maybe he was expecting a note from you to tell him when you were going to ship.

Some of my customers really want to know when their stuff will arrive (because of the excitement that goes along with collecting things), other times they are ordering lots and not paying much attention (which is my modus operendi for buying, unless it's something I actually need).

Another thing that gets me is my sister lives next door and has no problem and they take a picture everytime and posts it to your email where  they put it.  Nope, my email has no picture attached to it and I didn't even see him take a picture just toss the box at the post.

I doubt he'll be on the job long with service like that.

In contrast, we had an Amazon delivery two weeks back that saved us a couple hundred bucks. I saw the Amazon truck driving off, opened our front door, and there was the package as expected... with a BMW key sitting on top. That key had been lost by my father two days earlier when his key ring broke, and although we searched everywhere, we couldn't find it. He had to use his spare, and was about to fork out a low three figures for a replacement transmitter key, reprogramming and Gawd-knows-what-else, but then Amazon showed up with a routine delivery, and the driver evidently spotted the key while walking up our front lawn.

We are doubting it too especially if they see the top edge of the van with that fresh crease in it.

my sister has never had a Sunday delivery so we are hoping that it was a different driver versus the one that normally delivers during the week which seems very plausible.  I know it was a different van versus the one that goes up to her place.  She gets the regular bluesh/gray  amazon prime van and this was an unlettered brand new(okay new looking)white Dodge ram van.

I just got another package today that I ordered  the same time on  Friday from amazon making it my third item from them ever.  But this one was delivered by usps to my mailbox I cannot complain about 3 days involving a holiday weekend. Especially seeing it had a delivery date between July 13-20 originally.  I was afraid it would end up across and down the street again. Now I don't have to wonder seeing this is my last amazon package I was waiting for.

I am still pleased seeing the same part locally is $99 at farm and fleet versus the $28 I paid with free shipping

anyways back to Hawaii.  The buyer might be curious about delivery time because you are not located in the lower 48 states.  I can see people first time buying from Alaska and Hawaii not knowing how things work and how fast delivery can be from these states.

Don't take is serious. The buyer might have problem in using English language.

I think buyer is trying to ask the expected date of delivery because this is a hard period of shipping in some countries. I don't think that he is asking for his item quickly. Keep calm. I think buyer is fine.
