Where are they going?
There are pockets of areas around the US that are having severe postal issues due to Covid 19 and mail is getting stuck. It may be the processing center, sorting center. It all seems so random with some reports on USPS of service disruptions.
I am having random issues and it does not seem to matter if it is first class mail or priority mail.
There does not be a way to predict it or do anything about it. I filed a report with one package I had that didn't move for a couple of weeks and got a call from the Detroit area post office. They said that they had sorting centers closed down due to lack of employees and mail was just sitting. They gave me a two week wait time and said that they could not even ship the item back to me.
It's going to be a bumpy ride for several months I suspect.

I just got off the phone with a manager at my local post office as I too have a package that the tracking number says it was accepted yet that is it. He said what could happen is when someone is mailing a large shipment the post office creates a manifest and scans it before individually scanning a single package out of that lot. Therefor the tracking number shows it has been accepted but it goes no further. I have one that is 8 days late and hasn't left the State if purchase.

Hopefully it doesn't eventually become misdelivered

You are in New York , NY
I can't even imagine what your distribution center is like
Here in NJ most of my orders are taking a really long time
One of my latest deliveries that just arrived Priority mail came from 1 state away in PA shipped April 8th I just got it.
I went into USPS to request updates and it took forever to go from Newark NJ Distribution to Teterboro NJ where it dropped of for over 10 days
I would say this is going to be a long lasting affect in many areas due to short staff for a long period as this virus makes impact into different areas at different times.
