2 Accounts made the same day as buying a product of mine from the same person. Should I be suspicious and cancel the order or is this just weird and nothing else

It's probably guest accounts.

No reason to cancel, just ship the orders separately.

As kensgiftshop state...probably a 'guest account' which will show usually  no feedbacks.

I have buyers who purchase one item at a time and it drives me nuts...but who am I to tell the buyer what to do.

They are usually 'repeat buyers'...my 'bread and butter' of my selling core.

I would not combine the two items if buyer does a request.

Buyer cannot leave feedbacks unless that got changed.

Having two items mailed separately is harder to say they both got lost vs. one package.

You can be nice and do a combined discount if your looking to obtain 'repeat buyers'.
