Yes of course you have to report your income. If you got a 1099-K, then eBay also sent a copy to the IRS. They'll be expecting you to report it.

You're in Arkansas, which is one of several states that have already set thresholds that are much lower than the federal level.

Re: 1099k delay

What gets reported by eBay, what your state requires, what the feds require and what your tax situation is will all be different issues for each of us.

File your taxes per State/Fed guidelines, using the helpful folks on the Intuit & H&R block forums, the eBay updated guidance on reporting delays, IRS.gov, and lastly the details from either your tax software, tax accountant or both.

Random example: You started last year and the reporting is delayed for the $600 threshold for federal reporting...but you sold >200 transactions or $20000 in sales which were the OLD thresholds - for SOME folks. Nothing changes with the delay for you.

Again, cant really answer for you. Sorry.

Re: 1099k delay

It is generally considered to be a very good idea to report and pay taxes on all of your income regardless as to whether that income was included on a form. You need to track this for yourself in case you get audited.

Yes you have to file taxes and report your income whether you got  1099 or not. Just because someone didn't get a 1099 that doesn't mean that is "free money". You still have to report it on your taxes regardless.
