1099-K coming under my name instead of LLC name

Hello everyone!

So I just talked with 2 different agents over the phone asking why my 1099K came under my name and my SSN instead of my LLC, since I have a business account. According to both of them ( regular Agent then a Supervisor) they are not sending out 1099's under your LLC Business when you are a "Sole Proprietor/Single member LLC", instead they sent them under your name and your SSN; They said they are just following IRS guidelines. They did say that in order for the 1099 to be under your business name is has to be:

1. Corporation

2. LLC with more than 1 member

3. Non profit Partnership

I do sell on another platforms and I received the 1099's under my LLC without any issues. I will have to double check with my accountant.

Has anybody else having the same issues and how have you addressed it?

Makes sense as there is only 2 numbers that can be used

1.) Social Security

2.) EIN (for a business) but EIN is for someone that has 'employees', since IRS will only look at your Social and no OTHER 'funds' that you would be sending in (EIN used for Employee withholdings), so an LLC with a Sole Proprietor only uses a SS#.
