Hey, just got a message from a buyer bidding on an item of mine.
The message reads:
"Hey i am about to buy this off my other account it have my old address can you plz ship it to my new address please"
What throws me off is the grammar used and the fact he mentions another account.
I don't sell often but I do know ebay generally doesn't care about sellers.
I told him I would send it to the address on both ebay and paypal.
He isn't having it.
Another thing I would like to mention which makes me nervous about this is the sellers name.
This isn't the name but this is the general format....

Took me a while to figure out what a "0-Rep buyer" was.
We all want new buyers but your
"buyer" may not be the type you want.
If it was me I would place the ID on my BBL & ignore & delete any future messages.
However the decision is yours to make.

He can easily change the address before he pays.
You are correct only shipping to the address attached to the payment.
If he has already paid, you can refund "problem with buyers address" and then ask him to change the address & repay.
He won't.
It's likely he is trying to cheat you out of your item thinking you are new & don't know the rules.

He is trying to scam and send a message when he is not the winner.

One of ebay's oldest scams. Still works because sellers still fall for it. ONLY ship to the Paypal address registered at the time of the sale. Otherwise, prepare to refund in full with the INR that will follow.

Exactly! He's simply grooming you for his next message, which will arrive after some other bidder actually wins. He will have no connection with the actual winner.
This is a slightly more polished version of the scam in which a third party pops up after the auction, claiming to be a relative of the winner and asking for the package to be sent somewhere else as a "surprise" or gift, etc. Don't fall for it.

Playstation bundle or the Asus items.
The Asus item buyer is probably a seller many bids (62) in graphic card cat.
Log into your PP account to verify payment and the "ship to" address before mailing out.
Come back here first if you have a problem.
Those are high scam items for a new seller to be dealing with.:(

Scamming is getting so competitive. He want to get to the front of the line so he is starting before the sale ends. Report him to the Scammers Union.
