Hey, everybody!

I had a situation like this. I had a painting on sale for $40. In early January the buyer makes me an offer, I respond with a counter offer of $27 and he places the order. While picking up the order in the warehouse I scratched the glass of the frame. I immediately take a picture and send it to the buyer, apologize, explain the situation and offer two options: either cancel the order or make an additional discount and ship as is. The buyer agrees to the discount and gets a refund the same day. The order is delivered on January 7. No messages have been received. And then today - my first negative feedback, in which this buyer says that I am a stingy person, did not agree to his initial offer and yet sent a picture with a defect! I of course immediately contacted eBay, sent a message, where the buyer knew that he would receive the painting with a defect and agrees with it, said that I made a person almost 50% discount and I do not want to be called so undeservedly! 

EBay of course refused me to remove the feedback and said that communication with the buyer is not proof for this. And suggested that I contact the buyer to find out what he was not satisfied with and how I could solve the problem with him! I of course wrote to the buyer to clarify the situation - but as expected, no response from him.

 

How do I deal with this? How to stay calm in such situations? And most importantly - is there still an opportunity to remove such a review or are there no more options?
