tried to answer a question about one of my items and I was blocked with eBay saying I  can't  send out any more message for 24 hours.  I had sent out one message...this has happened to me two days in a row.

I have had this same thing happen to me several times and it does not matter how many hours or days I wait to try again.  Also did not matter that I had not sent  any messages for a few days.  I was just trying to reply to a question sent to me.

It must be yet another glitch, I have seen a couple of people mention this on the boards of late

Rather than trying to reply to a message, try going to the user's profile or feedback page and using the "Contact" link there to compose a new message. If prompted for an item number, choose a current item or else use "not about an item".

Thanks for posting, I'm sorry to hear you're both receiving errors when trying to send messages.

This is a known issue that our technicians are currently working on, and I have added your accounts to the report to make sure that they get addressed. I sincerely apologize for the trouble this causes in the mean-time, and would try the suggestion made by @eburtonlab as a work-around.
