i have all of my photos on photobucket and use html when listing

im concerned that all my links may be broken by photobucket since they are such a terrible company if so im totally done its taken years to build up my inventory to 6,500 listings and there is no way i could survive the loss a is there any tool that i can use to up load all my active listings  all photos html included to something that will save them in said site also being connected to ebay so that when items sell or are deleted the place where all my ebay listings are stored will auto adjust inventory to to add new listings made or delete listings i have deleted or sold on ebay ?

The images that are on eBay, belong to eBay. That is part of the UA.

Any package that deals with eBay (SixBit, Wonderlister, and others) would use eBay's images.

You have a valuable resource in your photobucket library. Those images are yours.

You can lose that resource, by subscribing to a listing subscription service, or you may be able to upgrade your photobucket libraries to a subscription service. You may already be doing this. The free account only allows 2 GB. 6500 images would be greater than that.

You may be able to copy thise images to your hard drive, but then you would have to make sure that you kept current backups.

the problem is this i pay 2.99 a month for ad free photobucket after seeing multiple posts that photobucket is now charging 400.00 a year for html links to other hosting sites  AND holding all photos in photobucket hostage until you pay them the 400.00 im extremely concerned  so to clarify all gallery pics uploaded to ebay site are safe BUT the links i have in my description to photos in photobucket will no longer be there unless i pay them 400.00 a year, and i could lose access any day is this correct? in fact this is the new info photobucket has posted for pricing

Plus 50 offers 52GB of Storage and No Linking or 3rd Party Hosting

Plus 100 offers 102GB of Storage, Unlimited Linking and No 3rd Party Hosting 100.00 a year

Plus 500 offers 502GB of Storage, Unlimited Linking and Unlimited 3rd Party Hosting this is 400.00 a year  if in fact this is true how do i get all my listings plus photos that photobucket currently has linked to my ebay listing safe?

okay but do any of these tools that coordinate with ebay  offer what i have now which is large pics in the description area of the listing?  can i place them there with these listing tools without using the links to photobucket as i do now? if i batch migrate to one of these tools do i still lose all the photos linked to photobucket currently in the listings?  cause that is a HUGE problem for me and grossing 1200 a month just to pay ebay 450.00 plus paypal plus postage i net not much so paying anything for anything is really hard to do  do you understand my quandry and my needs in such a way as to point me exactly where i need to go to accomplish what i need or is it impossible ?

If they are holding the images hostage, there will not be anything you can do (but pay them).

I doubt if the third party tools would be able to access these images anymore than eBay can or yourself.

I will call to another member. If there is anything that can be done, they may know.

@shipscript

In the post above, this OP has outlined photobucket's new pricing structure. It looks pretty outrageous, but we knew it had to happen sooner or later. I just was not expecting such large subscription prices.

Do you have any solutions for this member?

I thought about a csv file of their descriptions, using your tool, scraping out the photobucket filenames and copying to either their hard drive (if large enough) or creating a private image server to copy them to (if they can still be copied). They are still appearing in the OP's item description, so shouldn't they still be copyable?

The OP has a large investment, that they are close to losing.

thank you SO MUCH! im trying to download the albums in photobucket so at least i have images but still the idea of taking all those images and putting them back in listings is impossible  my only other thought is to make sure all listings with embedded images have those same images in ebays gallery those wont be lost right? not sure how long it will take to check 6,500 listings for that 🙂

The "gallery" images are on eBay's servers. It is the description images that are not.
