If you are referring to the "View Item" page (the listing as it is seen by others using desktop) eBay has been running tests and gathering feedback. The most recently ended test showed larger photos, a popup overlay with more zoom capability, and a two column section (instead of three columns) above the fold.

Lots of people loved that one. I think it will be a keeper.
These tests are shown to a smaller subset of buyers and sellers and affect different parts of the page. You may or may not see the next test. The programmers ran earlier tests over several months that were not as well received. Either the programmers will continue to run more tests or they will begin pulling the keepers into an actual update.
