eBay app message Send button missing

When I write a messages to a seller in the eBay app, whether through the listing or my purchase history, there is no send option 'button' . This has always shown before (on the same device and operating system that I'm using now), but the disappearance of it started a couple of weeks ago. 

I am desperate to get in touch with a seller I have purchased from, as well as a couple or so other sellers to get details of their items before I purchase, but have no way of doing so. PLEASE help me here eBay!

After you compose your message, look for a little triangular arrowhead-shaped icon in the upper right corner of the display that looks like a paper airplane; use that to send your message.
