As a new seller, maybe you don't know this:  ALL eBay buyers have the Money Back Guarantee.  That means that all a buyer has to do is open an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED CASE, and you (not eBay) will be required to refund him when you receive the item returned to you.

If the buyer claimed not as described, you are FORCED to pay for return shipping if you want the item back.  If you don't accept the return, the buyer gets a refund and keeps the item.

Is this what happened?

Please read MBG (money back guarantee)

eBay does not care IF the buyer lied. The seller only has 2 choices,  pay for return shipping then refund OR refund and allow the buyer to keep the item.

There is zero way to "stop" the refund. Do it yourself or eBay will do it for you.

You don't.  You can't stop a refund when the buyer claims not as described.  The only thing you can do is  accept the return and have ebay supply a return label (which you'll pay for).

Or if you deny the return, the buyer automatically gets a refund and keeps the item.

There's no inbetween.  Refund or return and refund.  That's it.

Perhaps I was not clear in my reply:  All the buyer has to do is claim the item is not as described.

You will be required to send him a prepaid return shipping label, or to reimburse him in advance for the cost of return shipping.  When you receive the item back, you will be REQUIRED to refund him totally.

PLEASE read the MBG.
