Trying to do a combined invoice but can't even get the invoice to "ome up am very frustrated

I assume you want to combine an invoice so multiple items can be shipped in one box.

Per the above help page, be sure your seller settings allow combined shipping.

Prior to checkout, the buyer can request a combined total on the cart prior to checkout, but only if you have the above "combined payment and shipping" turned on your settings.

I put two of your items in my cart and was able to see the "Request total" option (very similar to the screenshot above). Has your buyer selected that option to send a request prior to payment?

If the buyer has already paid, you can combine the items in one box and issue a partial shipping refund.
