Strange File Exchange revision failures

I am helping seller @robman69  revise item descriptions through File Exchange. The response file has some successes, mostly warnings, and many failures.

FileExchange_Response_821627604 from yesterday includes many eBay messages in HTML format, as if responding to a webpage request. We should not see HTML in the response file should we?  Most Failures say:  "Error - We're having trouble updating your listing right now. Please try again later,"  but those with HTML were reporting contact info in the listings.

FileExchange_Response_821922184 from today does not have those HTML messages. That revision file eliminated the contact info. The Failures all say:  "Error - We're having trouble updating your listing right now. Please try again later."

Is that truly an eBay issue, or can it be due to some problem with the data?

Could the upload have been corrupted?

Or is that the message when the daily limit is reached?

The seller does need a limit increase.

Line number 481 shows this non-standard error number "soapenv: Server.userException" with error text: "java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out".

That failed item #152070578179 had successfully been through FE the day before and I saw no particular problem with the data.

The item 480 ahead of that item successfully updated on this pass.

@shipscript - Thank you for posting this. And, thank you for helping out the eBay Community.

I have ran into this issue as well. This error is the same as the "Internal Error to Application". Our system just couldn't process all the data at that time. There isn't much data for us to identify what exactly is causing the interruption.

Trying the same file or uploading a file with just the error message is the only way around this minor interruption.

Being that HTML codes for description is vase and the data is plentiful, this could just cause a hiccup in the way the system reads a large data sequence.

Just like the message states, "...Please try again later".

As for if this has to do with an account File Exchange daily upload limit, no. Limit errors are given before a file is even process if the limit has been met/exceeded.
