I have a BIN with BO listing that looks like this:
BIN Price: $500
Quantity: 2
Volume pricing of 15% off when buying more than 1. In other words:
- Buy 1 for $500/ea
- Buy 2 for $425/ea
eBay told me this listing is "Eligible to send offers" so I sent out an offer of $450.
Someone who received my $450 offer told me they want to buy both items for $600 (i.e. $300 each). I want to sell it to them at that price, but my question is this:
How much should the buyer counteroffer if I do not want the 15% off volume pricing discount to activate?
Possible answers:
(A) The buyer should counteroffer $300 each with quantity 2. The 15% off volume pricing discount will not activate when using BO.
(B) The buyer should counteroffer $352.95 each with quantity 2. The 15% off volume pricing discount will activate and cause the price to drop to $300 each.

Without any real experience with this situation, this is what I would guess based on the way best offer works:

Essentially, best offer is a contract that supercedes the other discount options. The only thing that is not alterable is the shipping component.
Since it's the weekend and staff is not likely to be around, you might want to ask your question on the selling forum for further input.
