Sellers using Pinterest for SEO

Hi,
I want to get an SEO from outside of eBay. Now I have an account on Pinterest.

May I pair URLs of the eBay profile and product to Pinterest? (especially Profile's URL).
I searched everywhere on eBay policy to find that, but I couldn't.
Please tell me, what is your opinion?

Hi, when you put eBay links on social media there are advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages:

1 You will get more traffic from out side of the platform.

2 eBay system will understand that your item is an interesting item for outsiders.

3 When people come to see your listing, they might check your other items as well.

4 Probability of getting a sale will increase.

 

Disadvantages:

1 Pinterest viewers are checking Pinterest for pictures. Their main focus is to see pictures, not purchasing.

2 When views click your link on Pinterest to find the source of the pictures which is your eBay listing, eBay will mark it as Page Views. If the number of Page Views are significantly higher than the number of sales(Sales Conversion), eBay will lower the position of that particular listing on eBay organic search results. Because, eBay algorithm prefers to show their customers the items which sells.

3 In case you have to remove those items from eBay, you will have to remove them from Pinterest as well.

4 In case you decide to change the category, title, pictures of the eBay listings, you have to change the category and definitions of the Pinterest listing as well.

5 In case you decide to replace the eBay listing with another product, you have to change your Pinterest listing as well.

 

There could be more advantages and disadvantages. I think it is wise not to share your listings on other platforms. Use eBay marketing tools, promote your listings; eBay has millions of customers and the number is growing everyday. But, if you want to try it out, no problem. eBay will also like it because they also promote our listings on social media on behalf of us. Hope this helps. Good luck!
