Sales Reports Help

I don't have a store, but I'm trying to extract some basic sales data. I've run into a few questions and hoped you guys could help:

1) Performance > Sales > Total Sales includes sales tax and shipping, so gross, correct?

2) That number is not matching the number I get from Orders > Download Report. The one in that report is about 22% higher which is awesome if that's the right number, but I'm not sure why they would be so different unless "Total Sales" is not the same as "What the Item Sold For".

3) Other than manually adding "eBay collected tax" from the Download Report is there a quick way to access total sales tax, so I can extract it from Total Sales data (see question 1)?

4) Order Reports also appear to end after 90 days- can you still access prior data in another archive spot?

Thanks in advance for any help- just trying to get ahead of these numbers now instead of tax time 2021. 🙂

Hello @ibeforej ,

Thank you for your post. I sure hope this helps you but there is a way to retrieve your sales history data up to 2 years. Follow these steps:

  1. Log into eBay.
  2. Go to your account settings.
  3. Click on Personal/Business Information.
  4. Scroll to the bottom to "Your eBay Data".
  5. Click Edit to the right.
  6. You may be asked to sign in again.
  7. Change the begin and end date to your specified desire within a limit of 2 years.
  8. Drop down Transaction History and check the box "Sold History".
  9. Click Submit/Request at the bottom.

Within 1-7 business days you will get an email to your personal email with instructions how to obtain the file.

I sure hope this helps you. Best wishes to you.

Sincerely,

Jacob@eBay

Sales Reports Help

@Anonymous

Thanks so much for your help! That does help longterm sales data retrieval! Can you help with these two questions:

1) Performance > Sales > Total Sales includes sales tax and shipping, so gross, correct?

3) Other than manually adding "eBay collected tax" from the Download Report is there a quick way to access total sales tax, so I can extract it from Total Sales data (see question 1)?

I actually figured out the answer to my #2 question regarding "What the Item Sold For" being much higher than Total Sales. Apparently, if someone buys multiple items, the report takes the total it sold for and then breaks down the cost of each item in the same column- essentially doubling the amount for that order. Kinda frustrating it skews the data like that since it makes that column useless for an overall total.
