Ebay has taken away the feature on auctions to automatically relist items up to 6 times. Now all item's end after 7 days. This means a seller has to manually re-list item's, Ebay has taken the ease with which to relist items. I carry 500 items. I have had to lower the amount significantly just because I don't want the added time of constantly having to relist items.

Hmm. If you are having to continually relist auction items, then you likely have them all priced too high. Auctions, by definition, always sell at the market rate. Fools sometimes raise the market rate but there doesn't seem to be enough of them to go around.
Maybe you should switch your listings to BIN format; those will automatically relist for you forever.

If you have to relist auctions that many times, list as a fixed price once and be done with it.

The problem is in competition with other sellers I try to keep my prices as low as the lowest price currently on Ebay. An item under 5 dollar's I will only list as auction. In the hope that it will be bid up over my low asking price.

I have thought to stop listing item's under $5.00 dollars, but then, I am stuck with items that do not sell,

Does the bulk editor no longer work? Just do them all at one time.
