To be honest, until I read your message, I didn't realize the banner had been moved to the bottom - I thought it was gone entirely! After reading your post, lo and behold, there were my banners at the VERY bottom of my listings! Promos also aren't showing up in searches like they used to do.
You know, I have enough trouble getting shoppers to read my descriptions, let alone scrolling down past almost a full screen of white space before they'll see my promos! So until this is fixed, running promos makes no sense. I'm running a 50% BOGO on window treatments, so the only ones that are selling in multiples are going to shoppers who'd already planned to buy 2 or more at full price.
I just spoke with CS about it, and here's what happened: At the beginning of January, they tested the new location for the promotions banner. After receiving a lot of seller feedback, they decided to move the banners back to the top.
When I told her my promotions didn't even start until Jan. 27 & Feb. 1, she told me I might have to end my listings and start fresh for the banners to start showing properly. (Has someone lost their mind?? And lose my watchers & sales histories because an eBay test failed? Not to mention having to pay over 1,000 listing fees above what I've already been charged after my monthly alotment!)
Anyway, I ended a few listings and started them fresh. Know what happened? Nothing. The banners on the new listings remained at the bottom. I then ended one of my BOGOs and created a new one. That didn't fix it, either.
Since this seems to be a known issue, make sure eBay knows you're one of the sellers affected so the techs can add you to their list. I let CS know the "fixes" didn't work, and she said she'd let me know as soon as she had an update.
