This is insanely annoying. The template function in the new lister does not save certain settings, thus forcing you to manually set them on each and every listing.
This new lister is NOT ready for widespread implementation.
For example, if I set an international shipping option and I set the destinations to "Worldwide" in the template, it doesn't save with the template. It reverts to an unset field, and since it is a required element, it then throws an error with every listing attempt. See screenshot below. I've highlighted the field in question with a red arrow. I am forced to manually change the setting every time I list. It is a COMPLETE waste of my time.

Additionally, the "Create New" button/link has been removed from the new lister once you have completed a listing. The only options now shown are View Listing, Create Similar (which prepopulates with all of the data from the listing just completed), and Done (which takes you to the page of all active listings).
"Create New" was extremely useful as it would start a new listing using the same template. Now I have to exit and start over again.
As with most other functions in this new lister, EVERYTHING takes many more clicks to accomplish. This is NOT an improvement! It may be fine for the casual seller who creates 1 listing from their mobile phones, but for those of us working on actual computers that want to create multiple listings in an efficient manner, it is a huge step backwards. The new lister is complete garbage and was clearly not user-tested by regular eBay sellers.
It baffles me just how eBay insists on breaking existing functionality that doesn't need to be overhauled. It's as if you are deliberately trying to alienate sellers.

In case anyone is unsure what I am referring to, here are the options shown in the classic lister upon creating a new listing. I've highlight the missing option in red.

Unfortunately eBay did user test this, they just did not accept the feedback. I have tried it once a week for the last 1.5 years and left constructive criticism. To be fair they did listen at first and made drastic changes-basically tried to make it closer to the classic. But suddenly about 6 months ago they stopped all improvements and basically figured it was good enough I guess. Maybe higher ups demanded premature realese? Either way is bad business as usual for what. Forcing bad updates and alienating users and will spend the next 3 years trying to appease people instead of just getting it at least close to right before releasing. The whole design is so intrinsically flawed that I truly feel the only solution is keep the classic active as an option. That is all the feedback eBay needs. In fact I bet that 95% of users either refused to try it or switched back..... That is why they now have to force us. Learn a lesson from Skittles and apologize to your users and revert back to what we want and need! Nobody wanted a sour apple listing tool

Hi @revenue-collector! I appreciate the feedback. I've passed it on to those over this new listing process.

Thanks for sending over the feedback. Is there any other means of reach out that we as sellers have to impress upon those in charge how destructive this is to our ability to list on eBay. We literally cannot devote 5x the time to make a single listing because of this tool. This needs to be addressed at a higher level than the design team. We cannot wait 6-12 months for a revised update, we need the classic back until at least this tool looks and functions like the classic. Please advise- thanks

@siamjane8 The only other way to get feedback, suggestions, etc. to that team is to use the Feedback option you should see in the listing flow. If you click the three dots towards the upper right corner of the page, you'll see the below menu popup:

Thanks for the reminder... I was just hoping there is a more productive channel to get feedback to someone in charge...... Guess you need to be golf buddies with the ceo- that's usually how stuff gets fixed lol.
BTW- I would be interested to know if you have tried the new desktop unified listing tool and what your thoughts are since you work for ebay. Are we all missing something out here? No matter how many times I try it- its is so anti-work flow. You have to click in and out of popup boxes constantly to do everything and it takes 5x longer to list anything. It is so distracting and frustrating to use, I just cannot see a single advantage to the users. I thought we were partners like ebay always says but forcing this tool on us is damaging our businesses and livelihoods which is only going to prove costly for ebay as well.

Hi @revenue-collector! I've heard back that they are having the shipping issue looked into as they were able to reproduce it. As for the option to start a new listing, they'll look into adding it back into the new listing flow. In the meantime, they said it would be best to use the sell similar option and adjust as needed.
@siamjane8 I must admit I haven't listed anything new for sale in a while and my few other listings are good 'til canceled because I don't like to deal with auctions. I've started to create a few when trying to trouble shoot things though and haven't run into the issues some like yourself have described. I've also seen others say they like the new flow and how it has been faster for them. I suppose it varies from seller to seller depending on what all they include in their listings.
I do know that on average we've found the process to be faster than before, so hopefully you'll notice things picking up. I also know the team has already made a lot of changes from the first iteration of this new flow, based on member feedback, so keep sending it on. If enough people are reporting a concern or suggestion for improvement, there's a good change it will get implemented.

Thanks for responding and sharing your experience. I hope that my passion for wanting ebay to be a great place to sell again is not mistaken for a complaining spirit. Its just that this new tool is so poorly adapted to a desktop experience. There is absolutely no way that a complete and informative quality listing can be produced with it on a computer faster than the classic...... that being said, I understand that if the listing was a brand new I-phone case that is in the catalog and you are using a stock photo with a generic description and pre populated item specifics and flat rate shipping/ it might be just as fast......
Please inform the teams that those of us that list thousands of unique vintage items and antique car parts and higher value listing need a full professional listing tool like the classic to make a quality listing in a reasonable amount of time. All we are asking is for more time with the classic tool while they improve the new one. So far in the last 18 months- all of the changes or improvements that they made to the new tool were to make it look like or function more like the classic, proving that its the classic form that we need and want.
Thanks for your help

Any idea on when the missing "Create New" button might get fixed? I am trying to do a series of listings, and this new lister is an absolute disaster with respect to efficiency. A huge step backwards.

I've not heard anymore about whether or not they will add that back in @revenue-collector.
