Offline storage

Wondering is there a way to save listings offline for future use, I know eBay holds them for 60 days, but I would like to make new listings and keep old ones so I don’t have to remake the listings after that 60 day period. Thanks for any response’s.       fleatiquehopper

Thank you for the information. I didn’t realize 90 day storage was there. Very helpful.     fleatiquehopper

Listings remain on the site for 90 days after they end. So if you have the item number, you should be able to find the listing using this format:

https://ebay.com/itm/000000000000

An alternative is to use eBay's 'out-of-stock' feature to hide listings for up to 180 days when their quantity or stock level is set to zero.

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/listings/listing-tips/bulk-listings?id=4160#section5

This feature should help most seasonal items. The listing can be brought back into stock and visibility for a single day and can be taken back out of stock for up to another 180 days. The downside to this type of inventory management is that out-of-stock inventory still counts against your monthly insertions, and it does take a little time to manage when and what will go in and out of stock.

For offline storage of listings, eBay previously developed, and later retired, Turbo Lister. A company called SixBit developed a similar offline tool to manage and archive listings on the desktop to be relaunched at a later date.

I save all pictures in a file and copy and paste the descriptions in another file. Of course, when I relist I still have to fill in the specs, but that's no big deal. Taking pictures and writing out the description is most of the time consuming work when creating a new listing.

It's nice just to keep all of that saved in my own files. Like now, I won't have any listings up until after the first of the year. Of course, I'm retired. This is just a hobby for me. I don't have 100's or 1,000's of listings.

I might not even relist anything again. With what I deal with I can just as easily deal face to face with other collectors/dealers in my area and pay fee's to myself...... Oh Yeah!
