Not looking forward to the "new listing experience" that Ebay is "excited" to bring me.

I'm referring to the coming New Listing Tool that apparently, from what I have been reading, is less intuitive, with sub-sub menus hiding commonly used links, and overall takes up more time and effort to list an item.

It showed up a few weeks ago on my account and I immediately chose the "use classic version" or whatever the link to change it back was called. I am dreading the day when the "exciting new listing experience" will come.

Thanks. I just needed to preemptively vent.

Resistance is futile. I will be assimilated.

You're not the only one.

I tried it when it first come out and it sucks.

What was all on one page, now you have to click all the pop ups to do anything.

Have A Great Day.

I am in my 26th year online. Very quickly, I learned some computer experts either lacked the ability or the desire to implement the acronym KISS into their work.

Yep, any time ebay says "good news", or they are "excited", we are about to get kicked in the teeth.... again.

Exactly. Unfortunately, on eBay the moto is if it isn't broken - fix it.  Keep it Simple eBay.

Yeah, I have used the new lister off and on for a few months now.  It really sucks!  It is not easier or more simple to use.  Not sure why they felt the need to fix something that wasn't broken...

I don't like it at all.  I have created templates and list from those.  Angst is in my future, for sure!

I think the reason ebay is so excited about the new listing experience is that they don't have to use it.

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

The foolishness of one's actions or words is determined by the number of witnesses.

Perhaps if Brains were described as an APP, many people would use them more often.

It's all about the extra money that they think they can make off of you.

Of course ebay will be glad they don't use it - they have no idea what they are doing - to sellers, to buyers, to their own credibility, let alone what they are paying for.

Absolutely!

I'm usually willing to at least give something new a try. Heck, I put up with the two months that Managed Payments took to figure out how to do my bank transfers.

But that was absolutely pants.

I haven't been excited for an ebay change in a very long time. Is anyone?

Nowadays, popups on anything you are trying to fill out, are a major technical step backwards.

Places got rid of them because everyone considers them unnecessarily annoying.

We are going backward here, functionally.

I actually think they are deliberately wanting to make things more difficult for sellers and drive more people away.  Everything they do as of late all points to this conclusion.  Then they can claim they never forced anyone to leave, its their choice they left, they didn't get removed.

No Ebay just made a lot of terrible changes, added and upped fees, used vero's punitively to suspend people who had no idea they were at risk for one because one day it just came out of the blue, had their management make derogatory statements about the majority of sellers and buyer here, and basically decided to tank the site for sellers, to make it more inhospitable for them, and get them to leave on their own.

Ebay's "Good News" statement has turned into the phrase regular people dread when they hear "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you."
