Just went to list something and found this tool difficult to use, anyone else have this problem? I went to put brand of item in and would only allow me a drop down menu to select. Then I tried inputting the brand manually and it reverted to the drop down menu and only allowed me to select the closest brand name. This new seller tool will not allow me to select free shipping for the item I am selling.

It's a mess and not intuitive. Bad design. Hit a couple of bugs. Not designed for laptops or PC users.

i swear that is is ebays goal- making us slowly get used to a bad new tool and still not like it. gives them something to do for the next 4 years.... improve it back to what we had before

I actually dont think that the teams are trying to build a bad tool or make it slower..... I do think that they built it from the perspective of BUILDING the tool and not actually USING the tool. Every successful product or tool is born from seeing a need and then fulfilling that need- but its always from the perspective of the end user- it has to work for them not those you built it.

I know its been a month since you asked about how to add free shipping- but they finally added the toggle to the main page for us so it is easier to find and access!. A great improvement- now we are anxiously awaiting more improvements - we need just about ALL functions plain and simple- on the main flow so we can see and select without having to leave the workflow an search in popup boxes and submenus.

Web design 101- never force the user to leave the page they are on to input data on that page...... that is why dropdown menus have been used for decades to get more information or selections- they are not intrusive and do not get in the way of the rest of the page and most importantly do not cover up the main page so that referencing both is impossible-

just happened again yesterday......I listed a car part that fits 1987-1994 in the title......... then trying to add the years to the item specifics but forgot exactly what years the part was for----cant see the title at all because item specifics are in a popup box screen covering everything!!!!!! so i have to back out and reference the title and then start all over again- serious time waster and frustration since the classic was so simple and cohesive and efficient to move around on the page

It does take way more time. I think the biggest frustration is that its so inconvenient. It is just wrong- it is not a desktop tool and that is the problem- it forces a terrible user experience because we do not want a sub standard experience on our computer. For ebay- it is simpler to have one tool to manage but at what cost! Ebay owns no product and sells no product (other than advertising or selling our user data), so the only real product they have to "sell" is user tools- WE HAVE TO WANT AND LIKE THE TOOLS if we are going to use ("buy") them. A company that ignores the customers that use its product will no longer have customers....

Stop designing these tools for people who dont use them and LISTEN to those that use them FULL TIME

I use bullets in my listing descriptions, as it makes the information easier for buyers. With the new listing tool, I can no longer indent under a bullet. The indent arrows are missing. Does anyone know how? Thanks.

Apparently ebay thinks a quality listing description is no longer needed.... although they may be right since you have to scroll through 76 competing promoted listing ads to get to the description now. Buyer is lucky to even find the description on your listing!

NEW LISTING TOOL REALLY STINKS-MAKES AD WRITING MUCH HARDER. THEY TOOK AWAY MY TEMPLATES!! NOW HAVE TO WRITE DEFAULT SETTINGS MANUALLY!!! I HATE THIS "NOT IMPROVED SYSTEM" AND THEY REALLY DO NOT SEEM TO CARE.

the templates are still there they are just hidden behind a few extra steps- in the description box you must click on templates and then yu will get a popup that lets you select one- although limited to 10 now. then it will ask you if you want to edit it or use it in another popup box before letting you use it... see just a few extra clicks. it was too simple and straight forward before in the classic tool- the design was improved now to make the experience last longer lol.
