Is it possible to have your store description(in manage your store-edit store), use HTML?

I have text-format 'links' to my other stores in my description, but they are not links. Anyone know how to make them actual HTML links?

Thanks!

Is it possible to have your store description(in manage your store-edit store), use HTML?

All new store subscribers for the last two years have been placed in eBay's "new store" format. There is no HTML customization in this format and it is not possible to create HTML links in your header. The new store format will flex for mobile devices and is HTTPS secure.

The older legacy stores still support HTML customization, but those stores will not support a secure HTTPS protocol and will not flex for mobile devices.  At some point, eBay will move those older stores to the new format.

Some new-store owners were able to "revert to the old store format" to generate HTML based storefronts, but I don't know if this is still possible this late in the game.

To make your links more readable, you can remove the "?", and everything after, in the link.

Thanks for the fast response. Yes,  I was aware that my old, main store supported HTML, and my two newer stores didn't seem to, but I'd thought I'd ask anyway. Oh well. Is there another way to 'cross-advertise' within each of my 3 stores, the existence of  other two stores? If actual HTML links aren't allowed, and 'text-links' are clumsy(people have to copy/paste), how can I promote my stores within my stores?

You might cross-promote your stores within your listings instead, and add a little blurb about what makes each store different. Are all of your listing descriptions identical? It looks like you have three stores due a limit in the stores. Is that a listing limit or a limit on the number of items that can be displayed?

Are you going to differentiate the inventory on all three stores.

This is how I might rewrite the store message to reduce some clutter and set apart the links.

Welcome to Pop Culture Heaven Com III. An eBay seller since 1997, with 55,000 items from the 1960's to now, I have more items than will fit into one store. So please see all three stores, and check back often for new listings: • https://www.ebay.com/str/PopCultureHeavenCom • https://www.ebay.com/str/PopCultureHeavenComII • https://www.ebay.com/str/PopCultureHeavenComIII ••• Looking for certain items? Send me your 'want list'. If I have them, I'll list them on eBay. View over 18,000 items for sale in my oldest store (eBay currently allows only 500 listings per month in my new stores). Go to http://www.ebaystores.com/Pop-Culture-Heaven-Com & and click on the links under 'Store Pages'.

Thanks for the suggestions, will make changes to my store's descriptions. The listings are the same for 'like same' items, and different for other items...but all very similar.  If my old, first store supports HTML, why can't I use HTML links in my store description? Unlike in Turbo Lister, there are buttons for 'Description', and 'HTML', when writing your description, but I don't see that option in my old store(which supports HTML)...the links to my other two stores show up as text. Yes, I have 3 stores to have a different category of items in each, and also, because it's less expensive to pay $4.95X3 for 750 listings per month, than to pay .30 a listing above 250 listings.

Is there a way to have HTML links in my first store description?(I know that eBay will someday revoke this)

To make my store description even more readable is it possible to insert blank lines between sentences? I've tried inserting blank lines, but the lines all 'run-together'. Since there's no HTML support, I guess we can't use <p> to insert lines?

For example to look like this:

Welcome to Pop Culture Heaven Com II.

See my main eBay Store, 1) Pop Culture Heaven Com(http://www.ebaystores.com/Pop-Culture-Heaven-Com), for my current Feedback score(over 900), and length of time being a eBay seller, since Aug 1997, and

2) Pop Culture Heaven Com III(https://www.ebay.com/str/popcultureheavencomiii)

I have 55,000 more items to sell, as soon as Ebay increases my limits, I will add them to my store....check back often.

Are you looking for certain items? Send me your 'want list', if I have the item(s), I'll list them on eBay. With over 55,000 items from the 1960's to now, I may have what you're looking for.

Interested in seeing over 18,000 items for sale(eBay only allows 500 listings per month). Go to http://www.ebaystores.com/Pop-Culture-Heaven-Com and click on the links under 'Store Pages'

Since HTML is not supported in the new store format, there is no way to add line breaks. Formatting can only be accomplished through HTML. That is why I suggested the single paragraph for your new store.

Your legacy store should support HTML in the store header, if you can access that part of the store management. I believe the legacy store header is ONLY html.

Thanks for all your help. I guess I'm stuck with the big, ugly, hard-to-read store description. Since I can't add line breaks, I've added '***' where line breaks should be, and capped the store names.

Just tried copying the store description to a word doc, then BOLDing the already capped store names, and using the space bar(instead of the 'enter' key) to insert 'break lines', then copied that back into my 'edit store', and ....neither 'took'....ah well....
