How to block buyers from making multiple offers?

How to block buyers from making multiple offers?

I thought I had set up my 'Buyer Management' settings to block the same user from making multiple offers(on different items), but today I've got 10 very low-ball offers from the same user, for 10 different items.

My 'Buyer requirements exemption list' is empty.

Maybe there's a setting I missed? Or, the setting I need to set is someplace else?

Thanks!

No, you missed nothing.  Block the person if you don't like the offers.

@popch3

No, there is no way to block them from making multiple offers.

Have a great day.

Thanks for the fast responses. Oh well, I guess I'll have either decline each one, or just delete the offers?

Did u check your 'blocked buyer' list to verify that buyer is there?

And did you activate the 'Don't allow blocked buyers to contact me"

You know that you can simply ignore offers, right?

I don't want to block the user, as they may, in the future, make an offer I'd accept. I already have it set up so that buyers can only buy items every 10 days(I don't want to ship more than one high-priced item at a time), I thought that there might be a way of 'extending' that 'every 10-day option' to offers?

Yes, I know that, but I've had some users get ummmm....upset that I don't respond to them.

If you want to do offers, set them up where they automatically decline under a certain amount.

Have a great day.

Yeah, I saw that option...somewhere? Do you know if there's a bulk way of changing all my listings to decline offers that are XX% of my asking price? Or, would I need to edit each of my over 12,000 listings individually?

What does 'Only set this requirement to block buyers with a feedback score' mean?

In the 'Buyer Management' page, about 3/4th of the way down the page, under 'Buyer Requirements', there's check-box option of 'Only set this requirement to block buyers with a feedback score' with options of 0-5.

I currently have this unchecked, as I'm not sure what it does. Does that option only apply to the option directly above it, or to all the 3 options above it?

If I were to check this, what would it do? What does the 0-5 mean? Block buyers with feedback scores of '0' to '5'?

If I clicked this box and picked '0', does that mean block everyone who has no feedback?

If I picked '5', does that mean block everyone who has feedback of '5' and less?

The exclusion applies only to the option directly above it. It does not apply to any other options. That's why it's indented under that particular option only.

No.

It means buyers with a feedback score of 0 to 5 (whichever you select) AND are currently high bidders or have purchased 1 to 100 (whatever you select) items from you will be blocked.

Thanks for the fast response. I'm still confused...

I asked 'If I were to check this, what would it do? What does the 0-5 mean? Block buyers with feedback scores of '0' to '5'? Your answer was 'no'. So, what does it do?

Then you say 'It means buyers with a feedback score of 0 to 5 (whichever you select) AND are currently high bidders or have purchased 1 to 100 (whatever you select) items from you will be blocked.'....which seems to contradict the 'no' response from above.

I asked 'If I clicked this box and picked '0', does that mean block everyone who has no feedback? You replied 'no'. So, what does it do?

I asked 'If I picked '5', does that mean block everyone who has feedback of '5' and less? You replied 'no'. So, what does it do?

Sorry for being so 'dense' or 'slow'...is there another way of explaining this?

Should I click the box 'Only set this requirement to block buyers with a feedback score' with options of 0-5.', and select '5', if I wanted only buyers with feedback of '6' and more? I realize that this would cut back on potential buyers, but I've had some bad experiences with brand-new users

@popch3

Let's go back to your screenshot, the third checkbox, where you are addressing active or prior buyers who want to buy more of your items.

You are currently allowing all buyers to purchase only one item every ten days.  But if you don't want to apply that constraint to your better customers, you can limit that constraint to only newer buyers by checkmarking the indented option. The indented option will limit only the new buyers to one purchase every ten days and your experienced buyers can fill their carts.

How to block buyers from making multiple offers?

Thanks for the fast response...still confused. How do I set up to block ALL users(it doesn't matter how long they've been members), with a feedback of 5 or less?

As far as the original subject of this thread...'How to block buyers from making multiple offers?'
I guess that's not possible? I have another post https://community.ebay.com/t5/Seller-Tools/Need-to-verify-how-eBay-s-Offers-in-bulk-edit-works/m-p/3...
that may address this issue. I'll go read that...it may answer my question.
