How do I request a file of my Active Listings with All the info, like Description?

I want to start learning file exhange, but when I request my active listings it is just really a report. How do I request a file that actually contains all of my listing info, inluding Item Description?

I have read through the File Exchange Basics Manual and it offers great insight into editing and even creating a file from scratch, but I can't find how to just get a copy of the info I already have in Active Listings.

Thank You,

Mike

The only way (on eBay) to get this info is to individually Revise each listing and copy/paste the description box to a file on your hard drive (make sure to copy from the html tab, in the item editor, to get all of the info in the description).

If you use TurboLister you can export your active listings to a FileExchange csv file. This file can be opened in Excel or other spreadsheet.

Third party listing programs can also export complete item listings to a csv file (some will only do so, if you have the proper subscription).

Another way is to use the eBay Trading API to access each item (requires programming skills). I think the Finding API can also access the descriptions and there may be other APIs that do as well.

The final way and probably the best, is to use this tool to scan your listings for active content. There is an option on that tool to save your original descriptions to a csv file.

This tool is virus safe and is one of @shipscript tools for eBay sellers. Virus safe does not mean to turn off your virus protection. Be careful with any links!

Special attention to these instructions to download an original copy of your descriptions in FileExchange format (this is what you may be looking for)...

Good luck!
