HTML Not Transferring to App Description

This is going to sound odd, but in the eBay website for desktop I created a template for my item descriptions. I switched it to HTML, copied the code, and emailed the code to myself.

When I tried pasting it to my item description in the app, it is just showing the HTML, not the code. What am I doing wrong? I know this is basic, so I appreciate your patience!

I never listed from the APP, but it appears that when creating a listing from the APP, the html description is not supported (you would need to let the input box know you are using html..it will not automatically parse it)..

so, unless there is an option by the input box to alert the input box you are entering html code, that is how it will be displayed....
