I ran into the general benefits/uses of generating csv files from another database site, and was wondering if the same setup could be applied here. I ended up finding several responses/ how tos for sellers to get these formatted files for their autioned/currently selling/sold items (ie. fileexchange), however, I am not a seller currently and was wondering if the same options are available to pull for sold listings from the general ebay marketplace with the advanced search fields.
If it is possible, would anyone be willing to link me on further information or direct me to the tools that are generally used for this purpose?
Thanks for the help in advance.

eBay has limited resources for searching on ended or sold items and does not allow extracting their data for general "market research".
Terapeak was a good service for sellers wanting to evaluate the market for specific products, but that external service was ultimately brought inhouse as an eBay subscription. You can access it through eBay's Seller Hub or Selling Manager after setting up a selling account on eBay.

Additionally, eBay has an API for programmatically retrieving items. It requires a webserver and programming skills and is limited to 5000 calls per day. That limit is why there are no commercial applications based on this API.
