File Exchange Error 21916883

Attempting to upload File Exchange .csv to add new products.

Product Category=183454

ConditionID=1000

FileExchange Response:

21916883 Error - The provided condition id is invalid for the selected primary category id.|

I have also tried ConditionID=3000; same response.

I have also tried uploading a file from two days ago that worked perfectly at the time; same response.

I tried waiting for 6 hours; same response.

I tried eBay customer service chat. No help.

Any thoughts?

Re: File Exchange Error 21916883

eBay has revised many categories this week, and that may be contributing to the issue.

I looked at several other listings in the same category, and the item condition options appear to be "new" and "used".  Some of your older listings indicate "new", although eBay's text is formatted oddly.

I also tried to list a similar item using eBay's business listing tool, and the only two  options were "nothing" (-1) or "used" (3000).  So I am not surprised that 1000 will not work, but since 3000 was an option, I would think that would have worked.

I suspect there is something else going on.  @Anonymous

It appears that 3000 has been restored to functionality, as the same upload with Condition ID 3000 which was not functional yesterday now works today.

Hi @rylrebac0,

Thanks for posting, I'm sorry you were experiencing issues with the ConditionID.

I'm glad to hear this is now working for you, @shipscript noted, we just overhauled a lot of categories, so it sounds like a temporary hiccup happened while those changes were implemented. For future reference Used (3000) is now the only valid ConditionID in that particular category.

If you see more issues with 3000 being rejected, let me know, so we can look into it.

Re: File Exchange Error 21916883

Current category documentation available online, including the master list of condition IDs available within each category, have not been updated to reflect this change. I think that this will continue to frustrate and elude sellers until such documentation is updated to reflect current changes.

Hi @rylrebac0,

Thanks for posting.

You can download a list of our new category structure on this page: https://pages.ebay.com/sellerinformation/news/categorychanges.htm (direct link to file: https://ir.ebaystatic.com/pictures/aw/pics/catchanges/2021/May/NTF-update/US_New_Structure_(May2021)...)

The ConditionID's for existing categories should be the same, and reflected on the current files available in File Exchange. New ConditionID files that have an updated category structure, and reflect the newly created categories, are a work-in-progress with our new Seller Hub Reports documentation; We hope to have those done soon, I apologize for the trouble this causes in the mean-time.
