Hi
I am trying to upload and / or update Brands and MPNs via File Exchange.
I tried using product:brand with product:mpn or c:brand with c:mpn, but I always get the same result : The file exchange revision template uploads fine but does not update the MPNs and brands. I get a success report from file exchange but no change in the product page.
I am in France and the Brands and MPNs are required and I am trying to comply to the standards ebay demands.
Any ideas anyone?

As you suggest, C:Brand and C:MPN will create two new "custom" fields, but will not populate the required Item Specifics fields because the names are wrong. You will need to provide the required fields as shown below:
C:Marque
C:Numéro de pièce fabricant
Another option is to download eBay's "Item Specifics" report from Seller Hub > Active listings. It will generate a revision spreadsheet with the correct headers to update your item specifics.

Originally intended to pull items from eBay's Product catalog, these two product fields must be used together, if they are used at all. They are:
Product:Brand
Product:MPN
Alternatively, we can use one or more of these four product identifiers to pull items from the catalog:
Product:EAN
Product:ISBN
Product:UPC
Product:EPID
When eBay requires one of these identifiers, we can use "Does not apply" (or "Non applicable" in France), if we don't have a value.
If the required information is an "Item Specific", it will start with "C:" in the spreadsheet heading, like:
C:Brand
C:Manufacturer Part Number
In France, the headings would be:
C:Marque
C:Numéro de pièce fabricant

@shipscript
Hello,
Thank you for your explanations.
I have already tried the two solutions.
Concerning the specific information, I succeeded to upload the fields with C:Brand and C:MPN. The result is that I get two new fields in the custom fields section, but the eBay required fields (Brand and MPN) still leave blank.
Concerning the eBay required fields Brand and MPN, the file exchange uploads fine but does not update the MPNs and Brands. I have to edit the product page in order to modify these fields.
Thank you for your help.

As @shipscript mentioned, the column headers for eBay France would be:
C:Marque
C:Numéro de pièce fabricant
I just want to add that when revising listings with Seller Hub Reports to add or change Item Specifics, you should include all the Item Specifics in your file, not just those you're adding or changing. Any Item Specifics not in the file may be dropped from the listings.
As @shipscript pointed out, you could download a file that would have all items that are missing required or recommended Item Specifics. That file would have all the existing Item Specifics so that you don't lose any.

Hello,
The name must be C:Marque and C:Numéro de pièce fabricant for eBay France.
That work fine now.
Thank you for your help.
