I have updated stock to ebay system via file exchange, but get the error message set forth below when trying to upload it. "Error - This item cannot be accessed because the listing has been deleted, is a Half.com listing, or you are not the seller." and I am certainly the seller, and I don't understand "the item has been deleted". Please help.

Without a screen shot of your upload csv file (I am not an associate of eBay, so I can not look into your job execution file), I must guess from past experience.
That particular error can not happen on an Add or VerifyAdd verb, but can happen on Revise, Relist, AddToItemDescription, End, and Status verbs. The error implies that the FileExhcange processor does not recognize your item number as a valid item number.
My guess is that you created the csv file without changing the item number to whole number format. This is default behaviour for Excel. I do not know of any way to change this aspect of Excel.
Excel displays large numbers in exponential format. FileExchange will not accepty this. It wants the numbers in whole number format. The item number must also not have any trailing decimal zeros.
The following are some instructions from an old post. The image is an example of another type of upload file (update product identifiers), but the directions below detail how to set the number columns correctly for FileExchange.
------ Update product identifiers -------
1) When you first see the file it will look like this ...
Some changes have to be done here to make this acceptable to upload to eBay. Columns B, E,F,G, I and J are in General format. That means that large numbers are expressed as exponential numbers. FileExchange will not accept exponential numbers, but requires whole numbers. So to change this ...
1) Click on the B over column B (this will highlignt the entire column),
2) Click on Home (above the ribbon),
3) Click on the box that says General,
4) Click on Number in the dropdown box,
5) Now click twice, on the very small icon below the box with the little zeros and the right arrow (this get rid of decimal zeros),
----------End------------
You can now create the csv file and upload to eBay.
