This new item specific REQUIREMENT is another spectacular example of ebay fixing something that ain't broke. Not ONE single person has ever wrote to me to complain about not using it. Instead of unleashing us to sell, the way ebay is supposed to do, they put us on an ever tighter leash like sellers are PEONS.
Is there at least a way to make the required changes in BULK, in TL or directly on ebay?

You can edit in bulk directly on eBay using the bulk editor in the seller hub.
On your All Selling page, under Active Listings, checkmark all of the items you would like to revise.
Click the Edit button
The BEAR (bulk edit and relist) tool will appear.
Again checkmark all the listings to revise and click the "Edit Fields" button above the list, which will open a droplist where you can choose "Item Specifics".
A new popup window will appear where you can choose how you want to edit those fields (all the same way, or in bulk by category). When you make that selection and close the popup, the appropriate editing fields will be added to BEAR.

thanks! maybe someone else will be able to tell me about turbolister, I don't see any way to do it in bulk there.
@ppcstamp - Thank you for posting this question. Turbo Lister does have a similar option to edit Item Specifics quicker than opening listings one by one like the online Bulk Editor (as mentioned by @shipscript ) .
Being that Item Specifics information is specific to each listing/item, there really isn't a real quick method of editing this information.
We do try to make the process a little better in Turbo Lister by using the following steps to bring up Item Specifics data on one page:
1. In the Inventory tab, highlight listings that needs Item Specifics updates.
2. Right click on the highlighted listings and select "Edit Item Specifics (CTRL+I)".
It'll bring up similar "Edit Item Specifics" screen like the online Bulk Editor does.
Hope this information is what you were looking for.
Sincerely,
