Cross-Selling, Is it still possible and what are the best practices?

During my research, it appears that approximately 5 years ago there was a 3rd party app as well as an eBay built-in feature to achieve cross-selling. Now this doesn't appear to be the case, and I can't find any discussion on the topic. I believe I can make this happen with the very laborious task of keying into each listing the related items, but I wanted to get the community feedback before doing so in case there are better processes.

In 2017, eBay banned active content in listings. All of those cross selling tools had used scripts and external links to provide the best features, and the are no longer allowed. Thus, the "free" providers are no longer compensated and must make money on their other services.

There are still a few third-party tools available, but the automatic ones can no longer link to individual listings and, instead, like to a common page on eBay, like a store or a search page grouping of items.  Any that provide hard links to individual listings don't self-update and must be manually maintained.

Auctiva, Vendio, and Inkfrog still have auto-inserted galleries and Xsellx still has manually maintained galleries.
