Im on the same PC, same IP, same browser for ages. Lately, I've been forced to enter my password constantly while browsing ebay seller sections. Stay Logged in is checked. I have four accounts and its the same. With Payments and Performance tabs I need to do it EVERY time I click on them after closing and opening the browser, and almost every time there I'm also forced to verify via text or email code. Its super annoying to do checks, stops and emails 50 times a day. What the hell should I do for ebay to trust me again for at least a couple of days before forcing me email checks? 1000 times is not enough? LOL What happened, it wasn't like this before?

hi🤗💖techy here! you'll want to stop clearing your cookies every time you close your browser! go to your browser settings from your home page, click history or site settings ive been on mobile for so long its a bit fuzzy, then uncheck clear cookies from browser apon closing the browser. you'll want to do that manually every so often, but if you stop having your cookies cleared when the browser closes, it keeps you signed in until you do so manually.

additionally, cookies give you a more fluid user experience. they save little bits of priority & nescesary information such as sites you are logged into, & if you've checked that little stay signed in box or not. erase the cookie crumbs, your erasing that little check mark & all actively logged in sites in one fell swoop.
you can still choose to erase all history & catched images separately with no additional reprocussions, other than to free up some needed cache(coach) space that might otherwise eventually slow you down if you visit a lot of sites or download a lot of content.
clearing up your cookies refreshes the brower in a way, & is also good at resolving any unexpected website issues. i suggest clearing them once a week.

I have four accounts and its the same.
If signing out and back in to each of your accounts is a hassle, you may be able to avoid that by using a different browser for each account. That way you can stay signed in to each account at the same time without needing to constantly sign out to switch accounts.

Here is another tip associated with the cookie thing. I will often use incognito mode (private browsing) to switch around between some of my other eBay accounts, while still logged in with this account. If I just close that private browser, and fail to log out before doing so, I'll be pestered with captcha every time I try to log into that improperly terminated session. Incognito mode automatically clears cookies, cache, and browsing history.
Regardless of your settings, you will always be asked to log in again when accessing/changing your private account data, as eBay treats that as secure space.

But I dont clear my cookies after browser close. 🙂 Im logged in when I open the browser, the forcing to enter passwords begins when I start moving trough ebay sellers hub, and with performance and payments tabs its every time. And I've been on ebay for a decade, its only recently that I started noticing that annoying mechanic, so my guess would be they've changed something. I also use different browsers for every account and never log in with different accounts on the same browser. You can avoid those checks, actually, but its even more annoying. When I open the browser and go directly to payments, even if Im already logged in, it demands log in again and then text or email code verification. If I then refresh the page, Im still logged in, then I first go to overview, then listings, then store, click around ebay for a bit and after that walk when I click on Payments ebay seems to forget Im highly dangerous and lets me in on Payments without prompting me checks or codes. So again it makes me think Im not to blame and ebay is buggy again. And the only issues Im having like that is with ebay, no other service or site. If I did something wrong with my cookies should be all around my browser, not just ebay isnt it?

Yep, I do that, every account is on a different browser.
