Changes to the Automation Rules in 2022

I was listing some auction items today and noticed this message (see below) when I was setting up the automatic relisting for some of the items.    This is the first time I became  aware of this.   I wondering what the upcoming changes are to the automation rules.   I know that it will affect the way I list and sell items; I just need to get a handle on this.

Starting in early 2022, some of the automation rules will no longer work on existing listings and can't be applied to any new listings.
This change applies to: List according to my schedule, Relist once if an item doesn't sell, and Relist as Fixed Price if an item doesn't sell.

Thank you for your response.  My sales have diminished with the change so maybe I'll eventually get it back.

I had developed a system that was working for me.  Unfortunately, the updates/changes can often be a setback.

Re: Changes to the Automation Rules in 2022

Hello. On 02/28/2022 I noticed I was unable to see the box for auto relist up to 8 times. In the morning I saw it then in the afternoon it was gone. Called EBay immediately because I had this issue 7 times before in the past. They sent all my information to the tech department. Days go by and nothing. Not even an email back from EBay as they promised. Finally after 11 days with no one fixing the problem I called back and talked to a supervisor. She said because I am top seller I have no option anymore for relisting 8 times. WHAT???? So I am basically losing something that I love having because I sell so much on your site. That is very upsetting and very crappy. Not happy about this at all.

Seems we should be rewarded rather than punished.  When we make money, they make money.

Re: Changes to the Automation Rules in 2022

This puts a real bind on how my time is used and honestly I won’t be listing or selling as much if I have to take the time to manually relist, so I won’t be making them as much money and also won’t be a “top seller” anymore. Extremely frustrating. I don’t know how this is helping anything….

Re: Changes to the Automation Rules in 2022

I have maybe 30 unanswered emails to ebay about this . I have over 700 items SET to auto relist until sold in action format. At the end of last month they stopped auto relisting with no warning then when I complained (50 odd emails 4 hours on chat etc basically they SAID I had not and still are saying I had not ticked the ato relist until item sells I have been ebay 18 years and alsways have "autorelist until item sells" but all i get in responce (when they do deem it worth orf a reply (maybe one in ten emails) they keep sayin they were not ticked to auto relist , even although up until 4 days ago under each items titel in my unsold folder it CLEARLY STATED "AUTO RELIST UNTIL ITEM SELLS"!! EBAY have since removend the evidence for the the unsold items list stating such! Oh my latest reply was alsp say there was NO ebay notice about chaging autoristings! just for the recorded her it is copied and pasted yet as I understand it it should NOT effect "relist until sold"

Re: Changes to the Automation Rules in 2022

Hi all,  I was told today by an eBay rep that automatic relist up to 8 times for new items is no longer available for older established accounts?? This makes no sense to me knowing that we “older” accounts help bring revenue in for eBay so why would they do away with it for older accounts??

All my auction items over 250 are sitting in unsold items for now until I get my 250 for March. That is losing money for all of us including eBay. I’m not spending more money for a store etc considering that all our insertion fees etc we’re just increased. I’d be in the same boat anyway with no automatic relist.

Seeing the techs reply here, well  like I said it makes no sense to me.  eBay will lose people with this new policy, should seriously rethink it.
