sold item being returned . ebay gave buyer 25 days to return it? they provide no communication to me and I have no way to even communicate with ebay on the matter. so money is withheld for nearly a month while I hope to get my item back or the original item.. how do you even dispute it?

That’s how returns work, the buyer is given sufficient time to return the item. While the item is on its way to ensure the buyer gets refunded the funds for that transaction are held.
What is there to dispute?
How to handle a return request as a seller

it doesn't take 25 days to go to the po. in the meantime ebay has my money for a month to earn for them. then a month later I'm suppose to offer second chance to bidders? yeah right I'm sure they're just waiting around for me LOL

So it's 25 days now? I remember when it was 'Forever + 1 day', but I digress. Yep, it stinks and you can't fight it. 😖

Returns are all set up to be automated due to the number of daily transactions on this platform. This is how they work; the buyer is always favored with time and ease. Unfortunately, there is no way around this and a part of online selling. All you can do is wait for the item to arrive and then refund the buyer. Best of luck to you....

It was better before the pandemic -- buyers only had 15 business days to mail the return label to the seller.
5 business days is a calendar week. So 15 business days is 21 days, more if there's a public holiday @Anonymous like Junesteeth today.
