Hi has anyone else had trouble returning a faulty item , i seem to be running around in circles .they don't make it easy , i am starting to think they just want you to give up , but i am determined to send this faulty item back ,has anyone went to Department of fair trading for help . thanks in advance

This is the US site and we don't have a department of fair trading.
When was the expected delivery date or the date you received it?
You have 30 days within the delivery date to open a case. Did you go to the Resolution Center and open a not as described case? I'm assuming your seller is in the US because you're on the US site. They cannot send a return label. They'll have to send you return money up front. Have you given the seller your PayPal address and what return shipping will cost? You need to do that. If the seller isn't helpful you return to the case and ask eBay for help. Once a case is opened it will close in 21 days without a refund for having no activity from you after the case was opened if you don't let eBay know the seller didn't refund or send return $.
Be sure to put the tracking number in the case so eBay can see you returned it. After the seller gets it back they should refund within 2 days.
