I refunded the buyer, now I'm supposed to send a return label, I can't find where to do this. First time i have had a return.

You shouldn’t have refunded until you receive the item back.

If you already refunded the buyer, the case is closed and you won't be able to do any more through Ebay.
If you want it returned, you'll need to purchase a shipping label somewhere else and send it to them, but there's no way to make them return the item now.

If the buyer has agreed to send the item back after the refund has already been processed, you can create a shipping label thru PayPal or a service such as PirateShip. There are lots of services that enable you to create and purchase a label. USPS, UPS, FedEx are a few more.
Save the label to a file on your computer, like a .jpeg or .png
Those type of files seem the easiest to work with.
Send the file to the buyer thru eBay messages.

If it ever happens again, respond to the return request and click the button for the buyer to return the item for a refund. If you are required to purchase the shipping label, it'll tell you that and ebay will provide and send it to the buyer.
Then you don't issue the refund until the item is returned to you.
