I got an item from the seller that was a different color.

The seller did not accept the return.

I contacted the Ebay, open a case and  finally I  received the returning label. I initiated the returning with this  returning label printed from my computer.

The item was sent back to the seller and from the receipt, I wanted to add the tracking number but the tracking number is not recognized. I checked with USPS, my tracking number is showing where the package is now, but still could not add this tracking number on the Ebay   by  the printed label. How can I possible do it?

Noted that tracking is recognised on USPS.

There may be a technical issue on eBay and no doubt this will be corrected soon.

I would send seller a message advising him that item has been sent and show tracking number in this message.

In the unlikely event that case gets escalated then eBay will be able to look at your message and check tracking.

Thank you for ansewering me. I already send a message to the seller with the tracking number.I also tried  again several times to add the tracking number from the USPS RECEIPT  to the tracking number details, but the number again is not recognized by Ebay. I checked again on USPS tracking number and the seller will receive the item back today.I will call Ebay customer service to let them know about the refund.

Maybe is a tehnical problem, the returning label is from Ebay and not to recognizing the tracking number is wired.  I kept  the USPS RECEIPT  .

When you type the tracking number in, are you including spaces or not including spaces?  That could be why eBay isn't recognizing it.  A possibility?

If you are able to upload the USPS receipt  on the case itself then please do so.

There is never any rime or reason why these things happen.
