refund

The garage door opener I purchased in April worked well until recently (about 10 days)

I cannot work through your system because it is past 30 days of purchase.

I've been in contact with the seller and they said that they will refund me but I can't get through your system or talk with someone to initiate the process. So, please point me in the right direction to start the refund process.

Do you have access to my e mails with the seller ?

Thanks

@four46six This platform only offers a 30 day return, it is no longer possible for you to open an actual return on this platform now. If your seller is willing to refund you then you can ship it back to the seller and work out the details with them. If you used PayPal to pay for the item then you can open a return case via that platform. Best of luck to you....

I would be very careful about working something out with the seller without a formal process or agreement. It would be unwise to just ship the item back to them expecting that they will refund you.

As suggested by the poster above, a formal return request done in PayPal will protect you. If the seller is willing to work with you, as stated, they will not mind you doing so.

The EBay Money Back Guarantee is only good for 30 days after delivery.

The seller does not have to do anything with eBay to refund you.

Send him your Paypal email address (he does not have this since it is hidden on your payment).

He can then refund to your PP account.

BTW- you can also Dispute through Paypal for 180days from payment.

Did you try to reset it?  Did you put in a brand new out of the package battery?  Ask if the seller would rather replace than refund, it's voluntary but they might.  Good Luck.

There is no warranty on most items sold here. Your covered to receive it in as described condition. After that, your on your own.  For some items you can purchase a warranty. Don't know how good those are.  You could check with the company that made it to see if they cover it.  However, items not sold by factory dealers are often not covered.
