ebay return demands picture of problem?

I bought a netsuke (wood carving used as a button) from a seller in the UK.  When I received it, it was misdescribed and not what I wanted.  I tried to start a return, but ebay appears to be demanding I upload pictures of the misdescribed item before it will let me proceed, the start button is grayed out beneath the written explanation of the problem.  I don't know if my pictures could show the problem very well, or even if I could add a picture.  Is this a new requirement?

Not really, Sale's Venue is under U K site regulations

Try to sell something, copy a Sale's Venue(Sell One Like This) on U K site and then, you'll find out. They have their own copyrights

That has nothing to do with what I said. Ebay MBG claims go by the rules of the site that the buyer was signed into when they made the purchase.

From the MBG help page...

Buyers and sellers are subject to the eBay Money Back Guarantee or other buyer protection policy (if available) of the site where the buyer completed checkout, regardless of the eBay site used to list the item or the registration details of the buyer or seller.

Oh no, you said:

"Generally the claim is on the site that the buyer was signed into when they made the purchase.  It's odd that it would go to the UK site if you were signed into .com."

Wrong then and wrong now!

And now you're saying:

"Ebay MBG claims go by the rules of the site that the buyer was signed into when they made the purchase.'

Not really, it's the Seller's site, because as I explained the Sale's Venue is written under provisions of Seller's site. Sale's Venue is the contract between Buyer and Seller.

Furthermore, some sites like eBay U K,  carry extra protection for Sellers such as Copyright as well

O P's case is a very good example. Study it. It'll  give you a broader vision

@airsheep

Is this the item that you bought?

It is a hard one to say...it could look like it is a rabbit or a rat.  Tough call here (at least to me.)

Extra protections---- -UK has 8 days to respond and resolve a problem.

@airsheep the pictures in the listing are perfectly clear what you are getting and no matter if you call it a rat or a bunny in the listing the picture is part of the description and if you got what was in the picture then so be it.  It looks like a rat in   picture but you ignored that and thought you should get something different than you received?????

So I guess I'd better be happy with everything I receive from sellers on eBay:  I have neither a camera nor a call phone.

Most excellent point @fab_finds4u

I am curious...buyselljack2016 says the pics that I posted as possibly (probably) the listing in question looks like a rat.

What do others say it looks like?  Rat or Rabbit?

To me it looks like a rabbit with mouse ears.   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It is a carved animal. Definitely has rodent (rat or mouse) ears and facial features but no tail.  The craftsman has created a hybrid beast.  You can pretend it is whatever mythical creature you desire it to be, but not a purebred rabbit. Remember the unicorn.

So there were pictures of it and you're not happy it looks exactly like the purchased/pictured item?

It has a rabbit tail, not a rat tail.  Yeah, the ears are a bit round, but from the front, it's definitely a rabbit.  Side, more rat-like, but still missing a rat's tail.

YOU SAW THE PICTURE!

GAWDS, the lengths people will go to when they change their minds, to make it someone else's fault!
