eBay envelope and return problem

I recently purchased 5 trading cards. All five arrived damaged. I opened a return. The seller denied the return. The return was listed as closed and now I cannot reopen the return, discuss the matter with eBay, or otherwise recover my money.

 

According to the eBay envelope tracking, the item didn't track so, according to eBay, it never arrived. Please help. I need to be able to discuss the matter with an actual person because this is a direct issue with eBay's 100% buyer satisfaction and it looks like it's tripping over eBay envelope. 

It appears nearly impossible to discuss the matter with an ebay representative. Please help!

If that was a solution, it would have already been done.

But you can't open a case twice, obviously.


Stop talking to the seller @billscountry716 now or later. If you paid with PayPal

- first activate Returns on Us here to cover *tracked* return shipping.

- Then file another Not As Described return request here.

- Pay for shipping when you're told to return the item, then upload the tracking number to get your refund.

- And get back the return shipping here with your receipt.

 

Otherwise, file a chargeback with your card issuer at the number on the back of the card, to get your refund. When the item is defective, their return policy is void, and the seller pays for return shipping if they want the defective item back.

word is out that you can no longer contact ebay by phone. people are mentioning they now respond quickly through facebook. i dont have fb so i would just do a chargeback with my credit card company. if you can contact the seller, i would keep all correspondence from them because if you go a chargeback route they will ask for things like that. many people are dealing with this issue. if you want i can report your post as offensive at the risk of getting kicked off ebay (i DONT CARE) and a ebay mod will respond to you but when i blew up on one he didnt respond to me so that may be a lost cause. but so far that is the only way people are able to get in touch with ebay anymore.

Open an "item not received" case -

 

seller will have 3 days to provide tracking. If no tracking ask eBay to step in and you will be refunded.

Did you open the wrong type of case? 

You open a not as described case and the seller can't close that case. If they don't  furnish a return label after 3 days ask eBay for help.

I requested a return on the delivery date. The item arrived today and I immediately requested a return. The item's tracking does not show that it arrived. This was all mentioned in the original post. eBay's money back guarantee policy allows any buyer to demand a return if an item arrives damaged. The seller's own policy is irrelevant.

The case was closed. I don't know if the seller closed it or not.

Also, the item arrived over a week late. So, are you saying that the seller can reject a return when an item arrives extremely late after eBay's estimated delivery? Because obviously, that would be another violation of eBay's buyer guarantee.

Did you open an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED CASE, not an ITEM NOT RECEIVED CASE? The former would be the correct one to open.

INR would be the wrong case to open.  "All five arrived damaged" per the OP.

I opened a "not as described case". The tracking showed the item had not been delivered. It was an eBay envelope. All this was included in the OP.

Not sure if it helps but I use eBay's economy shipping on cards under $20 to stay competitive because nobody wants to pay $5 shipping for a $5 card in most cases. However the huge draw back is I've now documented over 5 occasions where a buyer sends me an email letting me know they received their card because tracking never updates or even shows USPS received it. I also documented well over 30 instances where clearly the buyer has received item because their is no follow up saying they didn't get it and or they leave a positive review and in those occurrences same thing tracking never updates. Now eBay uses a tracking number they can only use to their benefit as USPS can not locate an item using an eBay tracking number. I was also informed USPS does not scan these until they reach a processing facility, so they are handled and transported before any accountability of possession. More troubling every event where one goes missing eBay customer service can not locate item using their own tracking and always push the fill out an insurance claim. Also in each occurrence I lose the product and eBay sends buyer a refund then penalizes the metric of defect item which has in turn taken away my ability to promote items. This in turn cost me to Lose approximately 95% of sales and same with views. Its a service eBay charges for the economy shipping that is yet they have not stood behind it and remedied the problem. Even responses from "specialists" clearly show they are not even reviewing previous responses issued on the matter as they contradict or seem unaware. I have reached out now to exterior council as I've spent to much time on this and it has cost me financially. So as in my case my advice is document and photo copy everything and keep fighting if your truly in the right, for every 25 that don't care there's one that does. Good luck and if anyone else has experienced this would love to hear how you were able to get this fixed. Thanks!

An item not showing received doesn't allow a seller to win a not as described case.   

 

 

But it sounds like you said it arrived late so if the arrival was 3 says after the estimated delivery that is why it was lost. This new policy has major flaws and doesn't make sense to me.
