Ebay settled this bogus claim for buyer without extending me courtesy of responding to me. Looking at this settlement all buyer has to do is say I want my money back and ebay will send money back. Ebay says I did not respond which I did many times. I explained to you that if you looked at the listing you would see he received exactly what was listed, he claimed there were cables not sent (none were listed or shown). The cables are not an integral part of the controller.

May I add this is a disgrace the way you handle returns. No protection for sellers which I feel are an important part of your business. Just some complaining newbie with buyers remorse.

This is my 4th response which you (ebay) said I did not respond.

With 1319 feedbacks should receive some consideration.

@rand63

Out of curiosity, did you respond to the case or just contact someone at eBay? For what it's worth, you'd have received your item back (if you'd approved the Return claim) before the impending refund was issued, if so. Hang in there...

This a user board, other buyer and sellers.  The "you" that you are talking about, 99.9999% chance they are not here nor will see this.

There is no special treatment just because you have X number of feedbacks.

No returns does not mean no refunds. eBay's return policy overrides any that you may have in the listing, every time and people do use made up reasons for returns.

If they opened a return case, you need to respond to it not message eBay.

Suggestion, you might want to add more photos and a bit more information to your listings. One photo and short one line description can leave you open to returns. The transformer that was sold, just shows the box not the piece they are getting. If it does not come with cables, say so. Not everyone is an expert at what should be included as part of the item.

With 1,931 feedbacks @rand63 you should know on eBay

-- the difference between respond and resolve.

You needed to resolve the return request within 3 business days

-- or the buyer can ask eBay to step in and resolve it on your behalf.

Instead of clicking Send the luyer a message, over and over until time's up

-- you should have clicked on one of the 3 options above that, to resolve the return request.

That negative that you got might be removable.  The buyer assumed he would get more since you wrote LIKE NEW.    If you call ebay, they might remove it since you did not show anything else except that one item. In the future, take at least 2-3 photos of the item.  Write something " this is a what you see is what you get auction.  You will ONLY get the item(s) in the photos.  Of course, make sure that the background is completely clear or the buyer might assume that any object in the back is included.

Remember, today's buyers often bid on a cell phone while driving or watching tv.  They barely read.  So you need to make it clear what they get.  This way , they can't open a case for a wire when you clearly show there is no wire.  Writing something like new makes buyer think it's a new item and they might assume other things.

Goodluck.

Even though ebay gives you the choce to send the buyer a message, they do not consider that as an official response to a return request. The message option is to discuss with your buyer whether or not they will accept  a partial refund or to give them help with the making the product work etc.  eBay does not consider messages disagreeing with the customer about what they received as responding to the request.  If you do not select one of the options that @papa486516 posted, ebay will refund on your behalf and also give you an unresolved claim defect.

I'm not saying whether or not that is 'right' or 'fair' but that is how ebay handles it.

A buyer can always return something even if it saids "no returns". You send a return label and once item is returned you send the refund within the time limit. Emails back and forth or calling CS usually doesn't help and can make it worse...and in your case the negative feedback... which might be able to be removed...key word "rude" which might be a word we cannot put in negative feedback...just a thought. A newbie thought cables came with it so better photos of front and back and exactly what is being sent...just the box. It's a learning experience and don't let this one buyer distract you from further selling. We have all(sellers) had a bad experience with a buyer over a period of time. You block them and move forward. You have a lot of feedback as far as I can see. Don't let one person keep you from selling something.
