Timeframe on doing a return

So I bought a set of bike rims that cost about $20 with $50 for shipping.  They were listed as 32 spoke / hole rims but are really 36 hole.  I am trying to work this out with the seller instead of just sending them back, etc.  How much time do I have before eBay times this out and does not allow me to do a return?  Also, is ebay going to pay any of these shipping fees?   I have gotten burned on both sides, buyer and seller with returns and know better than to call eBay customer service…they have given me very bad and incorrect info that cost me $$$.

Refund is for 30 days on date of receiving item in your hands.

The seller can sometimes give a runaround trying to make you wait past that 30 days limit.

Don't fall for it.

Item not as described seller would have to send a return label and would pay.

Customer service...if you are talking about a phone call...they can't really help.

Just file an item not as described case.  The seller will have to pay it's return.  That is the correct way to handle this.   At that point, the seller could offer a discount. Your not required to accept and can ask for a full refund.   But you must file the case, don't delay.
